We were passing through town and looking for a place to eat Mexican. I read the reviews here but the hotel personnel said that La Fuente was the best in town so I gave it a try even though I was hesitant. It was the best Mexican food I had since leaving the Southwest. I had the chimichanga camarons. my wife had the steak tampiqueno with a tamale. They were delicious and flavorful. The tamale cam with traditional red sauce and not the cheese sauce mentioned in previous review. The wait staff was very attentive and kept our glasses filled. The manager Jorge made it a point to see how were doing. As for the decorations it reminded me of the Southwest with the rustic tables, furniture, pictures, etc. You can tell some time was put into decorating the restaurant. Did not see any vaulted ceilings though as mentioned in previous review. A vaulted ceiling would possibly add to the restaurant. Either way they had plenty of atmosphere. At checkout my wife unfortunate or fortunate for me found the jewelry store. I was not use to seeing a jewelry store in a Mexican Restaurant. The cashier said the owner loves jewelry and wanted to have a place for women. I was afraid when my wife brought several items up to purchase, but when I saw the price I was surprised how inexpensive everything was. Normally I would be out over a $100 dollars but it only cost us $40. Well I am glad we listen to the hotel personnel. La fuente was a great experience. Tomorrow we are going to check out a fabric store called Sir"s the cashier told us about. It is suppose to have the best fabric price in all surrounding states

“Best Mexican in Columbia”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013 We eat here often. The food and service are consistently good. I recommend the fajita nachos. Ask them to saute some fresh jalapeños into it, for a spiced up version.

I had a great lunch here, service was excellent and the authentic Mexican food was hot and fresh. Their salsa and chips were exceptional.

We were seated very quickly, greeted by friendly hosts and servers. The food was out in a jiffy. It was hot and delicious. Not one mistake and I am very picky & was very pleased.

I found La Fuente to be one of the best Mexican Restaurants I have ever eaten. We were visiting relatives and decided to dine at La Fuente after several places in town said it was the best Mexican food. We were blown away. I had the buffet which had so many selections and all were very good. (They even had fried shrimp and hot wings) and for only $6.49 what a value. My mother has many health issues and must watch what she eats. The manager and waiter were very accommodating. We explained what she was able to eat and they had a special meal prepared for her. They told us if it is not on the menu we can make it for you and they did. Besides the food the atmosphere was very authentic Mexican. The next time we come to Fayetteville, La Fuente will be our stop. Thanks La Fuente for taking care of my Mother.

We live in Texas so I was worried about eating Mexican food in a small Tennessee town. I was wrong. The food was all good and the quantities were more than adequate. Not as spicy as our Tex-Mex but adding some salsa took care of that. Highly recommended.

My family and I have enjoyed this restaurant for many years. The food is quite lovely and the service is fast and friendly. The atmosphere is one of the best in Fayetteville...we particularly love the front porch. If you are old enough to drink be sure to try the golden margaritas...one of my favorites.

Went down to visit a college girlfriend who lives here last weekend and she loves this place. Mexican restaurants can start to all look and taste alike - but what makes this place different is:
1. There's a gift shop
2. Pictures on the menu
We sat on the patio - drank great Margaritas and ate WAY too much. The food came fast and hot. Great place for Fayetteville!

My wife and I eat here often; dine in and take-out. Food is consistently good. Service is excellent, and price is great. We eat at Mexican restaurants all over and don't consider going anywhere else for quality Mexican food unless we are traveling.

My family, friends and I LOVE La Fuente! We don't go anywhere else in Fayetteville when we are looking for delicious Mexican food...and who can pass up half price margaritas on Thursdays and Saturdays? The service is always friendly, and I've never had food that I didn't enjoy there. We love to sit outside on the patio- they even have wind barriers and large heaters out there to keep you warm during the cold months. There is great variety on the menu, and if you've had a rough day, you can order a margarita the size of your head and forget about it! :) Highly, highly recommended!

I have been going to La Fuente for a while now, and it is by far one of the best Mexican restaurants around. It is not only a place to come and be with your family, but also a great place to hang out with friends. The waiters are great, the food is awesome and what woman can pass up the jewelry? This is a wonderful restaurant. I wouldn't change a think. Can't wait to go back again!!!!
